Taylor Norris, CEO at Custom Air Products & Services, Inc. (CAPS), recognized Mary Alenbratt, CAPS business analyst, for taking 1st place in her age group in the Mammoth Lake Sprint Triathlon. CAPS is a leading commercial and industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) company headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Taylor Norris, CEO Custom Air Products & Services, Inc. (CAPS), today congratulated CAPS employee Mary Alenbratt for taking first place in her age division, 20-29 years old, in the Inaugural Mammoth Lake Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, October 3, 2015.

“Promoting health and wellness among our employees benefits our company, our customers, and our communities,” said Taylor Norris, CAPS chief executive officer. “The triathlon is a test of endurance for athletes and we are proud of Mary’s participation, and achievement, in this event.”

The Mammoth Lake Triathlon is held each year in Lake Jackson, TX, and consists of three different events. The Olympic Distance Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon, and Youth Splash ‘N Dash. Mary competed in the Sprint Triathlon, a physically demanding race consisting of a 500 meter swim, followed by a 12.5 mile bike ride, and concluding with a 3.1 mile run.

“The weather was perfect for this event,” explained Mary. “Although the morning temperature was a little on the chilly side, the lake temperature was around 80 degrees, just right for the first leg of the race.”

Recently promoted to Business Analyst at CAPS, Alenbratt has excelled in a number of areas including company, professional, and personal. She performs in a number of support roles at CAPS, serves as a board member and director in the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce (SACC) Texas Young Professionals, serves as vice president in the Swedish Women Educational Association (SWEA) chapter in Houston, and regularly competes in local sporting events.

“We like it when our employees participate in activities that encourage healthy living,” stated Vice President David Wasson, “but Mary regularly takes this to a whole new level. Not only did she complete this course at the head of her group but she also recently performed so well in the Chevron Houston Marathon that she qualified to participate in the next Boston Marathon. CAPS is looking forward to sponsoring her effort at that prestigious event in the spring.”

Mary Alenbratt serves as an example in the company, and in the community, of a young professional business woman striving to make a difference. “We are extremely proud of all of Mary’s achievements,” pointed out Norris, “but more than that, we feel lucky to have her on the CAPS team.”
